When injured at work I called and visited with top law 5 firms in Minneapolis only to find out that to challenge my employer would mean going against the industry and I was told that I had no case. I visited the over 10 law firms in the Duluth/Superior area and was told that the case against such a giant would be too costly and time-consuming, with little or no potential of winning. No job, mounting medical bills, and my medical condition only getting worse I had nowhere to turn.

While in the skywalk, files in hand, and my daughter helping get around I needed to rest. I was defeated and now who would be able to me, my family? Would we lose our house? Just then a person stops and asks if I’m okay? I look up and say, Louis Stockman, your that guy on the phone book! Yes, sire, that’s me, are you okay Mr. Stockman replied? No, no I’m not.

On August 28, 2017, I tripped on a pallet in a supermarket in Reno, NV, (where I lived) and fell into shelves losing my vision in my right eye. I contacted an attorney there to seek resources. He kept insisting that I sign papers agreeing to pay him $300 an hour. Since I couldn’t afford that, I forgot about the lawsuit. On July 20th I saw Mr. Stockman’s ad on the TV. He stated: “If you don’t get paid, I don’t get paid,” Upon talking to him I learned that all injury attorney’s in Nevada are supposed to operate this way. With only 1 month left in which to file a claim, Mr. Stockman not only found an attorney in Reno to handle my case, he did this without once asking to be reimbursed & has consulted with me several times since, including reading legal paper that the atty. in Nevada sent to be signed. I don’t know what I would have done without him. He’s genuinely a very caring person.

I was injured on the job back in 2015. A lot of questions were going through my mind such as how am I going to support my family if I am not able to work. A family member was going through a similar situation with a work related injury and they suggested that I make time to speak with Louis Stockman as he may be able to help me receive the necessary medical care I needed to heal properly.

Mr. Stockman was very good at communicating information pertaining to my case. Whenever I had questions about my workers compensation benefits, he was prompt to return my calls. He maintained communication with me throughout my physical therapy and return to work progress. When I was injured a second time to the same knee, he was very helpful making sure that I received the medical care I needed.

I have known Louis Stockman for about 20 years. I first met him when I was a janitor for a cleaning company. I normally started cleaning around 5:30 in the evening. Many times when I went into the office to clean, he would still be there working. He was always nice, treated me with respect, and never talked down to me as if I was a lower class citizen.

About a year after I met him I was injured on the job and asked him to represent me. One thing I always noticed if I left a message regarding my case, he always got back to me. There have been several occasions when he returned my call after normal business hours.

One time I was at the casino with my friends on a Friday and Saturday night, when I reviewed his call. My friends asked who had just called; I stated that it was my attorney. They questioned me about it, “Your attorney calls you at 8:30 on a Friday and Saturday Night?” I said, “Yeah” and they were very impressed. Since then I have had friends ask me for his name and number.
